Today’s recipe is coming from Katie Lane and she’s sharing some delicious sugar cookies with us.
Katie Lane Family Sugar Cookies
¾ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Cream butter and sugar with a mixer. Mix in almond extract and eggs one at a time. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt and gradually add to the butter and egg mixture until incorporated. Refrigerate dough for 3 hours or overnight. Roll out dough and cut into shapes, place on ungreased cookie sheets, and bake at 375 degrees until set. (7 to 8 minutes) Cool and frost with your favorite vanilla cream frosting.

I have been eating so many cookies lately. Some of my favorite are the buter ones and sugar cookies like these.
I make sugar cookies with my granddaughter and my husband polished up our share in 2 days – I love the almond extract in them; gives them a great flavor.
Who wouldn’t like a sugar cooky? Or any kind of dessert for that matter.
