The Perfect Hope by Nora Roberts

Title: The Perfect Hope

Series: Inn Boonsboro bk 3

Author: Nora Roberts

Genre: Contemporary

Ryder is the hardest Montgomery brother to figure out—with a tough-as-nails outside and possibly nothing too soft underneath. He’s surly and unsociable, but when he straps on a tool belt, no woman can resist his sexy swagger. Except apparently Hope Beaumont, the innkeeper of his own Inn BoonsBoro…

As the former manager of a D.C. hotel, Hope is used to excitement and glamour, but that doesn’t mean she can’t appreciate the joys of small-town living. She’s where she wants to be—except for in her love life. Her only interaction with the opposite sex has been sparring with the infuriating Ryder, who always seems to get under her skin. Still, no one can deny the electricity that crackles between them…a spark that ignited with a New Year’s Eve kiss.

While the Inn is running smoothly, thanks to Hope’s experience and unerring instincts, her big-city past is about to make an unwelcome—and embarrassing—appearance. Seeing Hope vulnerable stirs up Ryder’s emotions and makes him realize that while Hope may not be perfect, she just might be perfect for him…

One of the things I adore about Nora Roberts is that I get a book that has family at its core. She is an author who has the ability to convey what a family, siblings should be and make you want that in your life or be grateful you have it.

I have to admit that I have been waiting for this book ever since Ryder and Hope met. Every time they interacted the tension between them was palabale which let you know when they finally got past their animosity and realized it was sexual tension it was going to be good.

Ryder is a simple guy. He loves his family, his dog Dumbass (can I just say my boys would love it if we named our dog that) and a cold beer. A woman isn’t on hislisr at the moment. Especially not Hope, and he hasn’t been thinking about the kiss they shared on New Years. So when Hope lays one him to get rid of her jerk of an ex, he starts thinking about her.

When Hope starts to see Ryder in a different light and notices just how sexy he is, it throws her for a loop. He isn’t the kind of guy she normally goes for. But he does it for her in a big way.

I adored the simple relationship between these two. There was no major angst, just two adults who found each other attractive and started a relationship. One that has the same things any normal relationship does with highs and lows and make-up sex.

We also find out what happened to the ghost Lizzy’s lost love, and how he is related to Ryder, Owen & Beckett. And I for one think it was a perfect tie in.

One of my favorite parts of the book is how Ryder proposes to Hope, it is perfect for them.

This series and this book will be at the top of my favorite Nora series.
