I have a guilty pleasure and it is these series romance books from Harlequin, whenever I go to Wal-Mart or Target I have to check and see what new books are out. So when I saw this book I have to say that I loved the cover and the title so much I didn’t really pay to much attention to the blurb on the back and what the story was about. I wish that I had because I think that I would have made a different choice about this book.
The book has the potential to be a great story and the romance between Brady and J.C. could have been great if it wasn’t for one thing, her sister Liz. Just when I thought that Brady and J.C. were going good, she would stick her nose in and mess things up. It was all about her. The thing that made me stop reading the book and just skip to end was when Liz tells J.C. to never see or have anything to do with Brady ever again, never mind the fact that J.C. is pregnant with his baby. No it makes her uncomfortable and is causing problems in her marriage so she doesn’t want him around.
I just couldn’t get past her. No matter how much I tried she ruined the book for me. If you are looking for a nice Christmas read with a great love story than skip this book.

Isn’t that interesting the way that happens. I am like you with regards to the Harlequin serials! They call to me from the shelves. Sometime they are really, really good, but they can also be duds 🙂 The last few I’ve read I did just what you did – skim the book and read the end. But, just think, the next one might be really good!
