Archangels’ Kiss

Archangels’ Kiss
Guild Hunter Series bk 2

Nalini Singh

Okay I am officially a fan of this series, there is just something about it that grabs you and makes you want more. The world that Nalini has created with this series is unlike any world that I have ever read. Raphael and Elena are two of the best hero, and heroines that have been written.

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux wakes from a year-long coma to find herself changed—an angel with wings the colors of midnight and dawn—but her fragile body needs time to heal before she can take flight. Her lover, the stunningly dangerous archangel Raphael, is used to being in control—even when it comes to the woman he considers his own. But Elena has never done well with authority…

They’ve barely begun to understand each other when Raphael receives an invitation to a ball from the archangel Lijuan. To refuse would be a sign of fatal weakness, so Raphael must ready Elena for the flight to Beijing—and to the nightmare that awaits them there. Ancient and without conscience, Lijuan holds a power that lies with the dead. And she has organized the most perfect and most vicious of welcomes for Elena…

This book picks up a couple of days after Elena wakes up from a year long and is now an angel and now has to learn how to be an angel and yet keep her humanity. Both of them have a lot of adjustments to make as they begin to forge a relationship that has the potential to last forever.

One of the best parts of this series I think is not only strong primary characters but amazing secondary characters. The Seven Raphael’s most trusted people, his Secret Service if you will are some of the best characters, they each have their own issues, and feelings about Elena and whether she is a good match for Raphael.

If you have yet to pick up this series I recommend that you pick it up and let Nalini sweep you away to a world where angels, vampires and humans all live together. This is by far one of the best series in the paranormal genre and you will not be disappointed.
