The deadly beauty would love to sink into his arms and become his mate, but she knows she can’t—he must never know about her dark past.  When Erin is sent to investigate the disappearances of pregnant shifters in New Orleans, Erin and Noah find themselves involved in a mystery more sinister than anyone expected. And as Erin delves further into the crimes, chilling information about her own past is revealed. The people who wanted her dead in the first place are trying to finish the job, and Noah wants nothing more than to shield her from harm. But can Erin truly trust Noah and let him see the wounded beast she’s hidden for so long?

Thoughts:  I absolutely loved Avenger’s Heat!  For those of who have not followed the series, I thought this one was fairly easy to follow along with, and that it’s capable of being read as a stand alone novel.  Of course, if you’ve followed the series, you get a little more of a background on the tension and attraction between Noah, so this is one of the books that really make this series!

I know that for me, this is the book I have been waiting for since book #1 of this series, and it does not disappoint.  You’re finally given more answers about what exactly happened to Erin and the circumstances surrounding how she was found and brought into the pack.  You also get to see things between Erin and Noah come to fruition, and I enjoyed how well this whole book unfolded.  It also has a level emotion that is a bit different from those in previous books, as this one deals with missing pregnant shifters.  My advice – Don’t miss this one!  This is one of my favorites in the series and well worth the wait!
