Series: Wait For You bk 2

Author: J. Lynn

Genre: New Adult, Contemporary

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not.

Thoughts: I have to preface this review with saying I’m completely in love this series. I love ever single character and their stories.

As much as I loved Cam I have to say that I was intrigued and curious about Jase from the first book so I was super excited that his book was next.

From the very beginning of the book we know that there is something between Theresa and Jase, and that he is fighting it with everything in him. Tess wants Jase and has ever since he laid a kiss on her a year ago.

Both Tess and Jase have things in their pasts that shape who they are and influence every thing that they do. If you  read Wait for Me then you already know what happened to Tess. Its something that she struggles with every day. What makes it harder for her is her roommate is going through the same thing she did and she is terrified to say something. When she finally does however something even worse happens.

We learn in almost the beginning of the book one part of Jase’s past. And it’s a big one. Because of this he’s afraid to be in a serious relationship with anyone, but he can’t let Tess go. His push-pull attitude is enough to make anyone want to smack him upside the head. When eventually pulls his head out of his butt and realizes that Tess is it for him it’s one of the best parts of the book.

I gotta tell you this is one of the best books I’ve read so far this year, and J. Lynn is firmly on my auto-buy list.
