REVIEW: Okay I admit it I am a Nalini addict. I wasn’t suppose to get this book until Christmas however the other night I wasn’t feeling good so my very loving husband went and got it for me. What he wasn’t counting on was having to go to 3 different stores to find it. However he did and I spent the night reading this book.

We first met Dev in Mine to Possess and we got a little glimpse of what kind of man he is. He would do anything to protect the kids under his watch. We also learned a bit about what happened when Silence was introduced. However the little tidbits that we were given just made us want more.

We also met Ekatarina in Mine to Possess, however we didn’t know if she was a good guy or a bad guy. We mourned with Ashaya when she thought that she had been killed in Hostage to Pleasure however we didn’t know much more about her.

I loved how we got to know more about these two characters and what makes them tick. Dev is a man that will do anything to protect those under his care and also his family. As the head of Shine he is responsible for all those that are descendants of the PSY rebels that refused to be a part of Silence. We get to see his family and also watch as he has to make a very important decision that will affect the future of the Forgotten.

Ekatarina or Katya is a woman that has been violated in the most violent way a PSY can be violated. She has no clue who she is and is afraid of what she has been programmed to do. As she re-discovers herself she finds that she can’t be the person that she has been programmed to be. She also is discovering a part of herself that she never knew she had.

The emotions that these two feel for each other are so heartfelt and also funny because they don’t know what exactly what to do with it or if they should trust what they are feeling, and when they finally give in it is AMAZING!!!

I will warn you that there are some serious tear jerker parts in this book that I wasn’t expecting, but oh how they touch the heart.

Once again Nalini delievers a powerful book that keeps you engaged in this world that she has created and makes you wish that the characters were real and that you knew them. We get to catch up with some of our favorite characters, and meet new ones. This only makes us want more of this amazing series as we become more addicted to this amazing world.

If you have not yet read this series than I suggest that you rectify it immediately and start reading them.

I give this book a 4.90 out of 5.

You can purchase it here, here and here.
