LOST Series #4

On-sale: 5/31/2016

ABOUT THE BOOK:

In New York Times bestselling author Cynthia Eden’s latest novel featuring the Last Option Search Team (LOST), one agent’s investigation entices a killer into making her his prey.

PARTNERS…FRIENDS…
Forensic anthropologist Victoria Palmer has always been better with the dead than the living. Shutting down her emotions, she lets few people in. But then Victoria’s latest investigation takes her and agent Wade Monroe to Savannah, Georgia. Handsome, dangerous, and more than ready to play dirty on any case, Wade weakens Victoria’s aloofness with just one glance.

…TO LOVERS
Wade knows their recent cases have pushed Victoria beyond her limits. But her skills are crucial to finding a college student who went missing five years ago. Victoria is able to determine she was murdered, and that the killer is still on the loose.

And when the vicious murderer targets Victoria, Wade must do everything in his power to protect Victoria… because he refuses to let a woman he loves be torn from him…again.

WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO ASK CYNTHIA ABOUT SWITCHING SUB-GENRES IN HER WRITING:

Switching Sub-Genres

By: Cynthia Eden

Hi, everyone! I’m so happy to be with you today—any time that I have the opportunity to talk about books, I am one happy woman. 😉 Books are my addiction, and it’s great to share with folks who understand that reading obsession.

I primarily write in two romance sub-genre: romantic suspense and paranormal romance. My romantic suspense novels tend to be gritty and sexy, full of evil plots and dark deeds. My paranormal romances have an edge of humor, but they’re also very dark—dark characters tend to be my favorites. All of my stories are sensual, and, of course, they all MUST end with a happy ending (come on, I need a feel-good ending to perk up my spirits!).

For this post, I was asked to talk about how I prepare to switch up between the different sub-genres. To be honest with you, switching up sub-genres is my mental break. I’ve found that if I write too many romantic suspenses in a row, I can start to feel a bit weary. I need to switch up sub-genres so that my mind can feel fresh. By switching between the more “real” settings of my romantic suspense novels and the “anything-is-possible” worlds of my paranormal books, I’m able to do a mental reset. I can clear out a previous story from my head and completely switch writing gears.

I truly think that writing in both sub-genres helps to keep both my mind and my writing fresh. No one wants to get stuck in a rut, so changing things up can really help to breathe new life into things.

Thank you so much for a taking the time to check out my post. And if you have any tips on how you keep your mind fresh and recharged, please share with me.

Best,

Cynthia Eden
