Bring on 2015

When I started this book reviewing journey back in 2007 I had no clue that 8 years later I’d still be here and that people would actually want to know what I think about books. In that time there have been ups and downs.

More than once I’ve thought about stopping and going back to simply reading, but my sister will remind me if I was to be given a nickel for every time that I’ve told someone to read a book I’d be an extremely wealthy woman. I CAN’T not tell people about the books I’ve read and how they need to read them.

One of the things I love the most about reviewing is the new authors I discover and the books that I would never have read before becoming some of my favorite reads.

In 2014 that author for me was Tiffany Reisz. After hearing people talk about things that happened in The Siren I had no desire to read her, until the lovely Lisa over at HQN sent me a copy of The Saint, by the time I’d finished that book I was so in love with these characters that so many people had told me I’d hate. So it I’m bummed that the last book in that series will be coming out in 2015.

Speaking of series ending, I swear that was the case with so many series I loved in 2014, Kerrlynn Sparks Love at Stake, Shannon Stacey’s Kowalski’s and Larissa Ione’s Demonica to name a few.

2015 however is looking to be a great year. So far the books I’ve read that come out this year have been excellent. The list of books I’m excited about it so long that I’ve had to limit it in this post. These are just a few of them…

Alexandra Hawkins series starter A Duke but No Gentleman in her Masters of Seduction Series.

Stephanie Laurens is continuing the Cynster Family Saga with the next generation of Cynsters with The Tempting of Thomas Carrick.

Nalini Singh has three books out this year that I can’t wait to read…Shards of Hope (Psy/Changeling) Rock Hard (Rock Kiss) and the Guild Hunter book you know she’s going to give us but hasn’t announced yet.

Christine Feehan is finally giving us another Ghost Walker book Viper Game

Stephanie Tyler has 2 books under her Stephanie Tyler name Fragmented (Section 8) Viper’s Rule (Skulls Creek) under the name Sydney Croft she has Into the Storm (Arco) under the name S.E. Jakes she has two books out this year Dirty Lies and Dirty Love (Dirty Deeds)

Jay Crownover has three books this year Asa (Marked Men) Better when He’s Bold and Better when He’s Brave (Welcome to the Point)

Lauren Dane has four books out this year Back to You (Hurley Boys) Opening Up, Falling Under and Coming Back (Ink and Chrome)

Kresley Cole has a couple of books out this year The Master (The Game Makers) Dead of Winter (The Arcana Chronicles)

Shannon Stacey is starting a new series Boys of Fall and the first book is Under the Lights

Elle Kennedy has three out this year One Night of Trouble (After Hours) Don’t Walk Away (Dreammakers) Midnight Captive (Killer Instincts)

Julie Ann Walker has two books out Hell or High Water (Deep Six) and Hard to Handle

Believe it or not this isn’t even a fraction of the books I have bookmarked for this year.

On top of books from authors I love I’m going to read Kiera Cass, Patricia Briggs, Chloe Niell, Ilona Andrews, and Sydney Croft.

I know that Sarah, Jeananna, Nathifa, Danita and Wikki all have lists as long as I do.
