Character Interview: Ghost of St. Giles via Elizabeth Hoyt + giveaway

If you’ve been to London recently well then you’ve heard about the elusive Ghost of St. Giles who killed a member of the peerage…or did he? We’ve been lucky enough to have the elusive Ghost sit down with us for few minutes and answer a couple of questions. Because of the nature of his job we have to keep it short as he can’t tell us much but we think we got the most important questions answered.

TBRG: Thanks for talking to us today, we know your time is short.

St. John: Indeed.

TBRG: Mr. St. John, I must ask, given the life of solitude you have led over the last several years. Was it an awful intrusion when your wife, Lady Margaret, arrived to town unannounced with your sister and her aunt in tow?

St. John: Awful does not cover the immeasurable upheaval my lady wife has chosen to inflict upon me. Catastrophic comes closer to the mark. Not only did she arrive with my dear sister, Sarah and Lady Margaret’s harridan of an aunt, Elvina, but she also brought numerous servants—including her gardener and a bootblack boy—and Elvina’s pregnant pug, Her Grace. While I have enjoyed the much better meals the cook she hired has prepared, the disruption and increased risk to my business as the Ghost has been most trying. And then there is the lady herself who insists she wishes to consummate our marriage—a prospect I find most…disturbing.

TBRG: What do you think of your wife’s determination to see the Ghost of St. Giles pay for the murder of her lover?  Do you think you will be able to sway her from this mission?

St. John: I think it quite noble of her, but entirely too dangerous for any lady, let alone my wife. Naturally I am working to dissuade her from her course of action, but Lady Margaret is proving to be quite stubborn in the matter. Actually, now that I consider it, she’s quite stubborn in general.

TBRG: Do you hold Lord Reading’s blackmailing you into marriage with Lady Margaret against her?

St. John: No.

TBRG: Since the death of Lady Clara, you have lived a very lonely and solely driven life.  What was it that made you reassess how you wanted to live your life?

St. John: I confess that there is something about Lady Margaret—despite the afore-mentioned stubbornness—that seems to draw me. Somehow my home, my servants, and indeed my life seem brighter with her in it.

TBRG: What has being the Ghost of St. Giles given you in your life?

St. John: A purpose.

TBRG: St. John’s time has to run, pressing business and all. But we would like to thank him for talking with us and we can’t wait to read about him in Lord of Darkness.

St. John: The pleasure has been mine.

TBRG: We are giving away all five books in this series today. Just leave us a note telling why you want to read this series, or what you love about it. Open to US and Canada.  Giveaway ends on March 31st.

I adored the Prince trilogy of Elizabeth Hoyt (dearly! I read them twice!) But wasn’t able to get this series yet but so heard so much awesome about them and to read about the ghost and all I’m missing lots! I so love that the series is set around St. John. I can picture reading them one after another! He’s got class the way he replies and so is making me picture him! This is book 5 in the Maiden Lane series and how many planned? Id so love to win these! Do count me in. Thanks!
