Cold as Ice by Cassandra Carr

Title: Cold as Ice

Series: Buffalo Intimidators bk 2

Author: Cassandra Carr

Genre: Erotic Menage

Luc, Carter, and Jake make up the Buffalo Intimidators’ top scoring line and play together both on and off the ice, with a history of sharing women. Each of them is also a client of massage therapist Eva. When they decide they want to be more than just clients, they approach her about having a ménage a quatre.

Eva’s been secretly lusting after the guys for months, but was afraid to say anything in an attempt to keep her relationship with the guys on a strictly professional level. Besides, how could she pick just one when such mouthwatering displays of masculinity are spread out on her massage table every day? She agrees to the ménage, but when serious health problems begin to plague members of the team, will she want more than a quick score with her hockey boys?

I have to be honest and say I wasn’t sure how this story line was going to work. While I don’t mind menage stories (some of my favorite books have an m/f/m story line) I don’t know if I necesarily like it with 3 men as I think it is a bit to much. However Cassandra really made it work in this story.

The dynamics of this story could only work if all three of the guys were on board completely especially if one or two of them want more than just sex from Eva. From the beginning it is very obvious that Luc is the leader of these three and is able to see more than just the present and is able to direct and guide them all on the journey of each other.

There is a lot going on in this story, there is something going on with the players on the team and several of them are ending up in the hospital with series health issues. The relationship between Eva and the boys is in constant demand, because not only does she have to deal with them all being together, but also making sure to foster an individual relationship with each of the guys.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what she has in store for the rest of the team.

What about the story made it a B+ if the author ‘made it work’? 🙂
