Crazy Hot

Crazy Hot
Steele Street bk 1

Tara Janzen

Regan McKinney, a studious paleontologist, isn’t exactly accustomed to a life of high crime. But when a mysterious note from her missing grandfather leads her to a secret surveillance site maintained by a notorious special-ops task force, and headed by a smoldering ex-fighter pilot, even Regan can’t resist the chase.

Reformed juvenile delinquents that become hot and dangerous special ops guys, add in some muscle cars, hot sex and you have the makings of a great story. And that is exactly what this book is.

Regan is on a mission, to find her missing grandfather. She is also a stick in the mud, she prefers schedules and rules. Danger and excitement aren’t a part of her life and she likes it that way. That is unless the excitement has to do with dinosaur bones.

Quinn on the other hand thrives on excitement, fast women, and even faster cars. He is a former juvenile delinquent that was busted for boosting cars along with his best friends, now he is a decorated Air Force pilot, and now a member of SDF. His missions are so top secret that only a select few know that they are. So when Regan shows up where he is hiding out because his cover may have been blown he knows that this mission has gotten FUBARed.

Over the next several hours they are in a race to save Quinn’s mission and also Regan’s grandfather who may or may not be in danger. While they are doing this they both have to face some things that they didn’t think that they would ever have to admit to anyone else.

The sexual tension between these two was awesome. It has been smoldering for years. So when the sex finally happens boy does it happen.

I love how this books starts with a letter to the guys at SDF’s commanding officer, basically telling him that he is nuts for wanting these guys. I have to say that I love this book, and this series as it is one of my favorites. I have read this book so many times that the cover has actually fallen off.

This book introduces the series and we get to meet or learn a bit about all the guys at SDF, and they are awesome guys. There is Kid who is sent to protect Regan’s sister Nikki, Christian aka Superman who just plain rocks, Skeeter who runs SDF, and a host of other characters.

I give this book a 4.5 out of 5.
