Series:  Seattle Wolf Pack Book #2

Author:  Kristin Miller

Genre:  Romance/Paranormal

BlurbTo have and to howl…Logan Black, former Marine and bodyguard for the Seattle Wolf Pack, hates weddings and has no plan to walk the path to matrimonial misery. But when he’s hired to protect a hot-to-trot wedding planner with a werewolf stalker, he’s forced to put his feelings aside. Not such an easy task when the damsel can turn him on with a single smoldering glance.

Wedding planner Veronica Vale knows werewolves exist, but hates them. One bit her sister, changing their lives forever. When a sexy Marine shows his gorgeous face at one of her wedding appointments, Veronica finds it hard to focus on the task at hand.  The chemistry drawing Logan and Veronica together seems fated, but with Logan’s playboy attitude, Veronica’s hatred for werewolves, and a stalker lurking in the shadows, these two need more than passion to keep them together.

Thoughts:  At first, this book didn’t really capture my interest.  It was a bit slow to get started, and I really didn’t feel this passionate chemistry between Logan and Veronica.  Even when they agree to have one night together, their passion just didn’t come across for me.  I thought the sparks between them were somewhat lackluster, at least at the beginning.  Veronica’s character also annoyed me a little with her stance on werewolves.  Her whining about how they “stole her sister from her” was a bit dramatic and childish.  It didn’t really mesh with her character either, since Veronica was very sensible and “together” otherwise.

Once she starts to realize her feelings for Logan – right before she discovers who he really is – things really started to pick up for me and I really began enjoying the book.  Things sort of come together for the Veronica and her sister, Veronica becomes a little less uptight, and Logan really starts to admit his feelings for her.  Everything starts coming together a little better.  I was surprised to find that the ending didn’t go quite the way I thought it would either!  Basically, an enjoyable read that gets better and better with each turn of the page.
