Heart of the Highland Wolf

 Heart of the Highland Wolf
Werewolf Series Book 7
By Terry Spear

Ian McNeill, laird of Argent Castle finds his capital squandered through unwise investments and the wolf clan’s home that has been theirs for centuries is in danger of being forfeit for nonpayment of taxes. When a movie producer contacts him with the notion of using his castle to produce a movie, Ian abhores the idea, but it’s his only salvation. Even worse, his people become extras in this epic Highland movie. But when one American werewolf romance author, Julia Wildthorn, slips into the castle under the guise of being with the movie company, except she is trying to jumpstart her muse with writing a book set in old-world Scotland–specifically about his castle and his people as the characters in her newest book venture–she and Ian tangle.

This is the first book I have read from Terry Spear and have to say I think it was a great one to start with.

This was the story of Ian & Julia and takes place in the Highlands of Scotland.  So Scotland & Werewolves, sounds like a match made in heaven.  Plus there were tons of gorgeous warriors running around in their kilts.  I am so won over!

I loved the chemistry between Ian & Julia and there was just the right amount of humor with all Ian’s relatives, even the dead ones.  Julia is there to not only find her muse but to also recover a secret box that her family supposedly left in the castle centuries before, so there is a bit of a treasure hunt. Of course you have the bad guy who thinks everything should be his and is out to take what he wants, so we have a battle.  Don’t forget this is romance, so we have a love story.  All great elements to make this one wonderful read.

Have you read any of the other books in this series?  Which one has been your favorite?

Julia Wildthorn has been mentioned in the other books in the series as a werewolf romance writer often enough that I wondered when she would be the heroine in one!

    Hello Melanie,
I loved Heart of the Highland Wolf and all the other books in Series. But I still have a favorite # 2 Destiny of The Wolf is still my all time favorite, the Hero is 10 on the scale 1-9 his ability to appear in his lovers dreams in that book was hard to forget. That book was just filled with so much excitement and action. After that I pretty much loved the rest the same. Well, I sort of still have a thing for big Red God Wolf Leidolf appearing in most of the books. HEY You Just can’t not love this series.
