Thoughts: As I’ve said earlier I love holiday romances, especially anthologies. My luck this season however has run to me liking 2 of the 3 books in the anthologies.
In Play With Me we meet Kali and her new boss Damion. I liked this story. It was different and fast paced and heart wrenching at times. Kali has the unfortunate timing of starting her new job just as some really bad stuff is going down internally and she gets caught up in the fall out, which doesn’t make her happy and she blames Damion. As they work through it and she gets to know this guy who intrigues her and wants her for herself she has to face some big fears. My only complaint with this book as it was told entirely in her pov but not in first person.
If I could go back and skip Snowfall I would. While I get that the heroine is going through something really traumatic, the I felt that all the medical jargon distracted me from the story. I also didn’t really feel the love story.
Of the three books in this anthology I loved After Midnight. It’s the story of what happens after the most amazing New Year’s story from a stranger, and the journey that one two people embark on as they search for the mystery person. It’s one of those stories that I could read over and over again.

Love holiday novellas. They all sound good and I like a bit of heartwrenching in my stories sometimes.
I just finished this book and I was really impressed by the depth of the stories. They didn’t seem like novellas because the characters were so well developed. I highly recommend it!
I love reading Christmas stories any time but this time of the year it is even better. Happy to hear that Marcy gave it a good review.
