Review:

The characters:

Ella: Sara’s best friend

Chris Merit: The artist

Rebecca Mason: The missing woman who has started Sara on her journey of self-discovery

I never thought I’d find myself reading a book from the erotic genre but when I read the first page of If I Were You I was hooked and couldn’t put the book down. Sara’s best friend Ella had left a journal when she left her place the night before and she felt drawn to it and started reading it. She couldn’t believe what she was reading. She would have never guessed this sided of Ella. When Ella comes by the next day to see if she left the journal there and couldn’t believe that Sara thought it was her journal. She explained that she had bought a storage locker that had these journals in it and had been reading them. Later that night Ella came pounding on her door to tell Sara that she was eloping to Paris with her rich doctor boyfriend and that she was leaving the storage locker and the journals for Sara because she was going to be gone for a month and that the locker had to be cleared out in 2 weeks.

Sara couldn’t help herself and began reading the journals and found out the name of the person writing the journals Rebecca Mason. She went to the storage locker and couldn’t believe all the items left. How could someone just pack up all their expensive belongings into a storage locker and then stop paying for it. Sara was determined to find out what happened to Rebecca or find her so she could return her items.

The search led her to the art gallery where Rebecca worked and she finds out that Rebecca was on an extended leave. To her surprise she is offered Rebecca’s job for the summer by the owner Mark Compton after he watches her help a couple decide on a painting to purchase. She decides to take the job for the summer to see if she can make her dream of working in the art world come true. Little did she know that she would also meet the famous artist Chris Merit who would turn her world upside down. She senses that there is a power struggle between Mark and Chris. Chris does everything he can to show Mark that Sara is under his protection and is his leaving Sara feeling unsteady emotionally but yet drawn to Chris and falling under her control.

The book continues with Sara and Chris discovering the connection they have and whether or not what they have is worth finding for. While Chris is away Sara goes to the storage locker to look for more clues on where Rebecca may have gone but soon discovers she is not alone.

I highly recommend this title. I give this book an A+.
