Series: Black Knights bk 2

Author: Julie Ann Walker

Genre: Contemporary

Rebel with a Cause

Becky “Rebel” Reichert never actually goes looking for trouble. It just has a tendency to find her. Like the day Frank Knight showed up at her door, wanting to use her motorcycle shop as a cover for his elite special ops team. But Becky prides herself on being able to hang with the big boys-she can weld, drive, and shoot just as well as any of them.

Man with a Mission

Munitions, missiles, and mayhem are Frank’s way of life. The last thing the ex-SEAL wants is for one brash blonde to come within fifty feet of anything that goes boom. Yet it’s just his rotten luck when she ends up in a hostage situation at sea. Come hell or high water, he will get her back-whether she says she needs him or not.

Julie Ann Walker is an author to keep a watch on. The second installment of her Black Knights Inc series is just as good as Hell on Wheels.

Becky is one of those heroines that is completely kick ass, and she knows what she wants. And she wants two things to be an agent for for Frank and to be Frank’s woman. When it looks like that isn’t going to happen she takes herself on a very long vacation and ends up in trouble and needing a rescue.

Ok I have to admit this was one of my favorite parts of the book because of how Becky reacts to the situation. The following takes place between Frank and her brother Wild Bill

“Were you able to glean anything else from the last fly-over footage? he asked as he popped the top on the plastic tube and slid the schematics onto the table.

He glanced up when the commander didn’t immediately respond. The man was chewing on the side of his cheek in what appeared to be an attempt to keep from grinning.

“What?” He growled. “What’s she written this time?”

The commander lifted a fist to his mouth and dramatically cleared his throat. “The footage shows she’d written, For the love of God, would you guys hurry the hell up already?”

“Well at least we know this little experience isn’t adversely affecting her attitude,” Bill chuckled.

That was Becky, all right. Two tons of unpredictable TNT packed in one small package…and he hearly crumbled from the hard rush of relief that flooded through him at the of those terribly Becky-like words.

Frank is one of the good guys and is determined to stay away from Becky. For a lot of reasons. The number one being he’s so much older than she is. 13 years. The second one is she’s the sister of one of his men.

There are so many reasons I loved this book. Becky knows who and what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after them. Frank is just as determined to make sure she has a life and isn’t in danger. The sexual tension between them is awesome. I could go on and on, but I don’t want to give away anything from the plot.

If you like kick ass heroines and Alpha heroes who think they know everything and their way is the only one then this book is for you.
