Just My Type

Bradford Siblings bk 3

Erin Nicholas

Secretly wanting her—no problem. Her not-so-secretly wanting him—big trouble.

There’s only one problem with the woman Jason “Mac” Gordon wants: his best friend’s little sister is off limits. Way off limits, and too young and innocent for the likes of him. From past experience, he’s learned to hide his not-so-nice preferences from the nice girls he seems to attract. That definitely includes the woman he’s always thought of as a sister. At least until recently.

Sara Bradford always gets what she wants—which is partly Mac’s fault. After all, he helped spoil her. So she has no intention of taking his no for an answer on anything—least of all his refusal to sleep with her. He thinks she’s too innocent? Fine. She’ll simply get un-innocent and show Mac that she wants him—the good, the bad and the nipple clamps.

When Mac’s plan to drive her away works too well, he’s forced to follow her to a tropical paradise, determined to make sure she doesn’t find her wild side with anyone but him. Once she gets a real taste of what he likes, he’s sure everything will go back to normal.

That’s until he discovers a slight kink, er, flaw in his logic…

I absolutely loved this book. I normally don’t like contemporaries where there is a such a large age gap between the hero and heroine, but it really worked for this story.

Sara is tired of living the life that everyone has decided for her. She has decided that it is time that she go after what or rather who she wants. She wants Mac. When she makes her move and her brother sees it, Mac does what he thinks is best and sets up a scene that she is bound to see and decide that she doesn’t want him. What he doesn’t count on is her deciding that she needs to take a vacation to St. Croix, where she fully intends to start experiencing life.

Mac lives by the code you don’t date your best friends baby sister, no matter how hot she is, or how perfect she is for you so when Sara makes her move, he isn’t expecting it at all. When he follows her to St. Croix to keep her out of trouble, he discovers that he is in way over his head as she has issued the ultimatum, either put up and be with her or back off and let her find someone.

Mac decides on the perfect solution, and boy is it a doozy (no I’m not going to tell you what it is you will have to discover that on your own). What happens next is a battle of wills, who will win, the ultimate prize, which is the other person’s heart.

From the very first page of this book I was hooked. I have always enjoyed Sara in the other books, but felt like she never really had a say in her life, and that by embarking on this journey with Mac she was finally going to figure out who she was. When Mac dumps her in the country with no internet, no cell coverage and no car he expects her to give up really quick, what he doesn’t expect is for her to adapt to her new life and begin to make it her own. This is also a journey for Mac because he knows what he likes and wants, and he struggles with reconciling the Sara in his head with the flesh and blood Sara, that wants the same things.

If you have never read an Erin Nicholas book you can’t go wrong with this one. Yes it is the third book in the series, but it can be read as a stand alone.

I have never read a book in this series before, but it does sound like fun, and a bit more erotic than usaul in your reviews.

Aurian you have to read these, yeah she is a bit more erotic but it definitely has a great storyline. I loved all the books in this series and you can get them as ebooks which is the way I love to read.
