Thoughts:  This one looked and sounded like one of those sexy, military romantic suspense novels that I usually enjoy immensely.  This one, however, got off to a slow start and just seem to drag a little too slowly for my tastes.  The book was supposed to be about really connecting these two characters back together again, so I expected them to have their issues and struggle with some distance between them – but for me, it was really hard to connect to either of them.  Half the time, their actions were inconsistent with their thoughts and vice versa.  I wanted to really feel the desire from these characters to really be together, but it just didn’t happen.  I liked the author’s writing style, but it was just to slow and not emotional enough – especially with a topic where  I should have really ‘felt’ their emotions rolling off the pages.  Just didn’t hit the mark for me.
