Kiss Me If You Can

Kiss Me If You Can by Carly Phillips

He’s New York’s Most Eligible Bachelor …
She’s just not interested!

Sam Cooper (“Coop”) has just become the most eligible bachelor in New York City. After foiling a jewelry store robbery, and being rewarded with the ring of his choice, single women all over the city are fawning over the crime reporter. But Coop isn’t interested in the admirers sending racy underwear his way. His attention is centered solely on Lexie Davis, the only woman in the city who claims not to be interested in his bachelor status.

Instead free-spirited Lexie is more interested in Coop’s antique ring, and its (potentially scandalous) history in her family. But Coop is quickly becoming more than just her route to the ring But when Coop’s investigation starts to uncover the truth, will she trust her heart – and her family secrets – to this most eligible bachelor?

Let me start off by saying that I am a Carly fan and this new series has not changed that.

I loved the story and the development of the characters. I have read some of the reviews and some mentioned that Coop & Lexie start out strong but get lost in the story line by the end. That was not my experience, they do start out strong but as the relationship is growing they start realizing the fears that they have and try to figure out how to overcome them. From my experience this is real life and it was portrayed really well.

I also love the relationship Lexie has with her grandmother, who is a riot throughout the book. It reminds me of the special one on one time I had with my grandmother, she was not as wild as Charlotte but we had plenty of those special moments together.

And how can you not love a book that explains why everyone should get a Mac, it is all so true!

You will fall in love with the characters, yep even the ones that maybe you shouldn’t. Can’t wait to hear more about the Bachelor Blogs in the next book.

Look for “Love Me If You Dare” in August 2010, I love when books in a series come out so close together.

Do you have a favorite Carly book or series? If not what one would you like to read?

Thanks for the review. In the past, her books have been hit or miss for me, but I really enjoyed her last series (Lucky). I'm looking forward to reading this one.
