MacGowan’s Ghost

MacGowan’s Ghost

Cindy Miles

Odin’s Thumb Inn and Pub may be owned by brooding Highlander Gabe MacGowan, but it is actually run by a crew of ornery ghosts, who aren’t eager for their home to undergo a change in management. Gabe intends to sell the pub not only to give his son a more stable environment but to escape what really haunts him—his wife’s death.
Leave it to fun-loving American Allie Morgan to come to Gabe’s rescue. Hired to oust the sneaky spirits, who are chasing away potential buyers of the inn, Allie ends up winning the hearts of everyone in the Scottish seaside village, including those of the ghost of a sea captain and Gabe himself. Now all she has to do is find a way to help the sexy Highlander chase away his own ghosts
REVIEW: I loved this book, it maybe even one of my favorite of all her books.
Gabe is one tortured man. He loves his home and his pub and inn. He loves his son. He loved his best friends that are ghosts. What he doesn’t love is his nightmares. So he decides that the way to escape his nightmares is to sell and move. What he didn’t count on was the reaction of those around him.
Allie is someone that is very familiar with ghosts and is very excited for the opportunity to go to Scotland. What she doesn’t count on is falling in love with everyone and everything there. So when the ghosts ask her to help them save their home and keep Gabe and his son there she does.
One of the things I loved about this book was the ghosts and how they loved Gabe, they had watched him grow up, were there for the really bad times in his life. They considered him family. All of their antics were to keep their family together. Allie has her own ghost also, one that has been with her from the time that she was a child, so she understands the life that Gabe grew up with.
I loved watching these two fall in love, and how this love determined how they behaved towards each other and also how this love made them act in regards to each other.
I give this book a 4.5 out 5.

Guess I should head of to Scotland and look for a few ghosts. These books sound really good and can't wait to read them!
