Midnight Breed bk 3

From the back cover:

HE HAS RESISTED TEMPTATION FOR CENTURIES, A STONE-COLD WARRIOR WHOSE FROZEN HEART REFUSES TO THAW–UNTIL HER . . . .

With a dagger in her hand and vengeance on her mind, Darkhaven beauty Elise Chase prowls Boston’s streets in search of retribution against the Rogue vampires who took from her everything she cherished. Using an extraordinary psychic gift, she tracks her prey, well aware that the power she possesses is destroying her. She must learn to harness this gift, and for that she can turn to only one man–the deadliest of the Breed warriors, Tegan.

No stranger to loss, Tegan knows Elise’s pain. He knows fury, but when he slays his enemies it is with ice in his veins. He is perfect in his self-control, until Elise seeks his aid in her personal war. An unholy alliance is forged–a bond that will link them by blood and vow–and plunge them into a tempest of danger, desire, and the darkest passions of the heart . . . .

REVIEW: When I finally got a hold of this book I was so excited to see that it was Tegan’s story. I had always liked him and knew that when he story was told it would be amazing.

Tegan and Elise are two people that have been shaped by tragedy. Tegan lost his mate and went rogue thousands of years ago. Ever since Lucan had stopped him from being rogue and made him a Breed Warrior he has done his duty but has not hidden his anger.

When he sees Elise for the first time in months he is rocked by the changes in her. He follows her to find to find out what she is doing. What she is doing rocks him. He has never seen a Breedmate act like she is.

Elise is out for revenge. She wants to kill all of those that destroyed her son. She has left the everything that she knows and is on a mission to destroy all the rogues.

There wasn’t much about this book that I didn’t like. The attraction between Tegan and Elise is very apparent however they really don’t want to act on it. As they track the leader of the rogues to Europe they come to realize that there is more to their relationshiop than the physical aspect.

Just as they accept their relationship and acknowledge their feelings for each other, they discover that their pasts may destroy all that they have. As they overcome and face their fears, they discover that love does indeed conquer all.

If you haven’t already checked out this series than I recommend that you do. You can purchase the book here and here.

I give this book a 4.5 out of 5.

Heather, I read the first in this series last year but for some reason haven't gone back to it yet. I was going to start the second book last week but decided I really wanted to read a western historical. I am so glad that Tegan's book is the third, I don't have to wait that long.

    Great Review

The series gets better with each book I have to say. I have reviewed other books in this series so if you want to surf the blog you can or I can link the reviews to the pictures of the books. Maybe I will do that.
