Monday Author Spotlight

What time is it? It’s time to spotlight an author.

It is time to introduce you to a new author,

or re-introduce you to an old favorite.

Whichever the case may be, pull up a seat and meet…
…………

Johanna Lindsey

Can you remember when you made the jump into hardcore romance books? I can. It was the summer between my freshman and sophomore years of high school. The book was Brave the Wild Wind by Johanna Lindsey. Having never had the sex talk, yes I know but my parents were and still are a little out there, I so didn’t understand some parts of the book. I quickly caught on however and was hooked on this kind of romance book. My junior year of high school one of my girlfriends let slip that she read Johanna Lindsey and we then proceeded to spend the entire year sharing her books, much to the chagrin of our US History teacher. To give you perspective on the years I graduated from high school in 1993. Since that time I have read all of her books, some I have liked others I haven’t. No matter what though she remains one of my favorite authors.

I couldn’t find much on her on the web however I did find this and thought that I would share it with you….

Johanna wrote her first book, Captive Bride in 1977 “on a whim”, and the book was a success. By 2006, with over 58 Million copies of her books have been sold worldwide, with translations appearing in 12 languages, Johanna Lindsey is one of the world’s most popular authors of historical romance.

Johanna’s books span the various eras of history, including books set in the Middle Ages, the American “Old West” and the popular Regency England-Scotland. She has even written a few sci-fi romances. By far the most popular among her books are the stories about the Malory-Anderson Family, a Regency England saga.

If you have never read one of her books you should definitely check her out. She has several different series, and I love them all..I was going to list them but when I looked at the list I realized that I couldn’t choose between any of them…
