New Release and Review: How To Lose At Love by Sara Ney

How To Lose At Love by Sara Ney is available now!

Blurb:

I needed a good girl to save my bad reputation.
With too much on my plate, the very last thing on my mind was a relationship—the football draft was looming
and dating got in the way. I never understood why my teammates bothered with girlfriends. None of us had the
time.
When my sports agent suggested that being seen in public with a respectable girl would be good for
my bad reputation, I couldn’t think of a single person to help me out. The only girls I knew weren’t wifey
material, and the ones who were? Might catch feelings.

Except Ryann Winters.
Responsible. Sarcastic. Smart. Ryann was perfect but there was one clincher: she was my teammates ex-girlfriend and I had recently been paid by him to dump her.
Not the best start to a fake relationship…

My Thoughts:

As soon as I started reading this book I was like “Dallas and his brothers…I know them! But How?” And then it hit me! Their older brother is Duke from The Secret Roommate! Dallas and the twins are only briefly mentioned in Duke’s book but still, I felt like I knew them. This book is technically a stand alone, but you know me I love getting all the back story. I’m glad I had already read The Secret Roommate and could connect the dots. It was super fun to see Duke and Elias from The Makeout Artist too. Cameos and mentions of characters from other books are my favorite!

I absolutely loved this book. It had my favorite tropes; sports romance and fake dating. Needless to say I went into this book with high hopes. It did not disappoint. I loved Ryann and Dallas, and I loved how their relationship progressed.

Dallas is the type of guy you can’t help but fall for. He isn’t a manwhore, or a shallow party boy. He’s focused and determined to make it to the NFL without any distractions. Yes, he’s super blunt which can sometimes come off rude, but once you get to know him you see how amazing he is.

Ryann’s perfect for him. She doesn’t care that he’s a huge football star, and she doesn’ t play games. She is confident and witty and gave Dallas a run for his money. I loved the banter between the two of them, the flirting, the chemistry, and how easily their relationship fell into place.

Overall this book had everything I love. It was the perfect balance of banter, spice, and everything nice 🙂 I’m so excited for the twins’ books! I can’t wait to see who will win their hearts.

Grade: A+
