Our Favorite Love Stories

valentine's daySeeing as today is Valentines Day I thought it would be fun if we shared some of our favorite love stories.

I have a lot of them but I narrowed it down to one of my absolute favorites. Elizabeth Gaskell’s North and South is in my top five of best romance stories ever told.

Here’s my favorite scene from the movie.

Janon’s favorite love story is that of Beauty and the Beast..Here’s a fun scene from the Disney movie.

Jeananna’s favorite love story is Love Actually…here’s a scene that speaks to all of us who love a good HEA

Helen’s favorite love story is Lora Leigh’s Loving Lies. She says… Breaks my heart and warms it all in the same book. Makes me laugh and cry. Makes me see that not all things are perfect. But love will see you through.

loving liesLove will find a way. Slade was Jessie’s life, the first love that filled her heart and soul and bound her woman’s spirit. Years of waiting culminating in an incredible weekend of sexual abandon-teaching her everything she needed to know to be his woman and branded her as Slade’s woman for life. Jessie was certain Slade had to love her. Until he whispered the lie, the ultimate betrayal, and walked away only to wed another woman. Now five years later Slade returns, his soul has withered without Jessie’s presence, and now he’ll have her, one way or the other.

The love for her, the fierce overriding hunger and need consumes his heart and binds his soul. No matter the obstacles, Slade will get her back. Whatever it takes. Whatever he has to do. Warning: this book contains lots of steamy, hot lovin’.

Anal sex. Toy play. All told in graphic, contemporary language.

When Harry Met Sally is my favorite romance movie! The ending is a classic, but there are so many great lines throughout the movie. My sister & I quote it all of the time.

    Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
It’s so hard to find my favorite love story, there are so much… I have to agree with you Heather, North and South is absolutely marvelous (and, no, Richard Armitage has nothing to do with it!). If I have to choose, it’s Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole. I love the way Cade takes care of Holly. The first time I read about them, I knew their love story would be a keeper.

I’d have to say Love Actually is one of my favorites, as well. My favorite story line from that is the president and Emma, or the two children.
