The Takhini Wolves series one of the best shifter series out there. In it we get fabulous characters, HAWT sex and a fabulous story line. Vivian Arend is a master storyteller. She has firmly entrenched herself on my keeper shelf, where I will have her books not only in print but also on my kindle.
One of the things I love about series is that we get to watch characters grow and become who they are meant to be. With each book in this series we’ve gotten to see Caroline and Evan become better, stronger and more amazing. And as much as we’ve wanted them to be mates we all know they weren’t. So I’ve patiently waited for this book….who am I kidding I’ve not patiently waited for this book. And Vivian has teased me with one paragraph snippets for months.
I’ve always known when we got Caroline’s story it was going to be a good one. I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. If you’ve read the other books in the series you know that the final leg of the bear conclave is set to take place in Whitehorse, and as the partner of the local wolf pack Caroline has her finger on everything. So when she meets the Tyler the sexual pull with him knocks her off her feet. Add in the complication that Evan suddenly finds himself in (it’s a good one and no I’m not sharing what it is). But attracted to him she is.
Tyler is determined to be the winner at the bear conclave…only he has one problem no woman at his side. When he rescues Caroline from a hot tub incident he doesn’t expect an instant attraction to her. But he does. When he realizes she can help him, both appease the bear and the man. As he gets to know her he wants more and more.
I’m just going to put it out there I LOVED this book. The sex was HAWT! In fact there’s one scene that is both off the charts HAWT and hilarious at the same time. It may just be one of my favorite scenes in the book.
Watching as Tyler and Caroline fall in love and deal with all the conclave stuff was lots of fun.
Of all the Takhini Wolves books so far this one is my favorite. Between Caroline and Tyler and the thing that happens with Evan it will make you smile, cry and laugh out loud.
