Fall Reading Challenge: Read a New (to you) Author

Pregnant and alone on the wild frontier, a woman must decide whether to allow a wounded, buckskin-clad stranger into her cabin–and eventually into her heart.

REVIEW: So I read this one for the fall reading challenge. When I did the challenge I hadn’t read anything by her however since then I had picked up her newest book. However as I had read it before this challenge started I chose to read a different book by her. I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. There were times when it was really hard to read (hence the 3.75 rating) but overall I really enjoyed it. This book takes place during a very tumultuous time in our nations history, and Pamela did an amazing job of research and making the reader feel like we were right there. She is definitely a keeper for me.

SQQUUUEEE!!! Isn’t this one great??? I do admit though – in every rereading I’ve done of it, I skip the first little bit. It isn’t for the faint of heart is it? And she did do some wicked research!!
Have you ever seen the movie Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis? If you haven’t and you liked this book – I really recommend giving the movie a look.

I just checked out their web site. I just wish they had more of a discography on there. I’m definitely going to look for them! But I did see they did some Enya songs!! Do you know her? I ADORE her music and have every one of her CD’s. Another musical artist you might like if you’ve never heard of her is Loreena McKennitt. She’s totally awesome too. I have all her CD’s and happened to see her perform live this past spring. She was truly AMAZING!

Loreena is one of my favorite artists. I discovered her about 10 years ago.

If you go to itunes you can find their music.
