Something about You

Something about You

Julie James

Have you ever met two characters that you loved from the minute that you meet them? For me that was Jack and Cameron.

This is one of those stories that you love to read, boy and girl meet, sparks ignite between them, something happens and they go their separate ways before they can act on said sparks, and not in a good way. Fast forward three years and they are once again thrust together, and said sparks are now fireworks.

FATE HAS THROWN TWO SWORN ENEMIES. . .

Of all the hotel rooms rented by all the adulterous politicians in Chicago, female Assistant U.S. Attorney Cameron Lynde had to choose the one next to 1308, where some hot-and-heavy lovemaking ends in bloodshed. And of all the FBI agents in Illinois, it had to be Special Agent Jack Pallas who gets assigned to this high-profile homicide. The same Jack Pallas who still blames Cameron for a botched crackdown three years ago—and nearly ruining his career…

. . .INTO EACH OTHER’S ARMS

Work with Cameron Lynde? Are they kidding? Maybe, Jack thinks, this is some kind of welcome-back prank after his stint away from Chicago. But it’s no joke: the pair is going to have to put their rocky past behind them and focus on the case at hand. That is, if they can cut back on the razor-sharp jibes—and smother the flame of their sizzling-hot sexual tension…

From the first page of this book I was in love, with both Jack and Cameron. Jack an FBI agent that got the raw end of the deal and Cameron  the assistant US attorney that delivered the raw deal to him have become one of my favorite couples and I could re-read their book several times over.

The nice thing about that the romance between them is always there just under the surface of all the anger and guilt, and when it does come out well they slip into what they should have been from the beginning. Watching that happen was awesome, I loved all the snarky comments between the two of them, and the secondary couples. I could go on and on about these two but I think that you need to discover these two all on your own. They will fast become one of your favorite couples also.

I for one am hooked on Julie James and can hardly wait to read her next book, A Lot Like Love coming in 2011, which is another FBI book. BTW don’t you just love the book cover?

I enjoyed this one too but it didn’t bump “Just The Sexiest Man Alive” as my favorite JJ read. JJ has a real talent with witty banter & dialogue.

See and I didn’t enjoy that one as much as I loved Jack and Cameron. I can hardly wait to see the next book in March
