Blurb:   Hawkin Play, the bad boy rock star with a good guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother’s mistakes. Hunter’s most recent screwup could land Hawke in jail and risk the band’s future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge’s good graces—and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.

Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs—even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.

Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he’ll stop at nothing to take advantage….

Thoughts:  First, let me just say that this is my first time reading this author. The book was brought to my attention on Netgalley – I had seen it a few times on the site and I passed it by. I was offered a copy by the publisher. I received an e-mail talking about it being on of the most popular books requested on Netgalley. Needless to say, I finally decided to see what all the hype was about, so I requested it. And while it was a good book, I didn’t really see what all the fuss was about. Which I’m sure will be an unpopular opinion…LOL

I liked the book…don’t get me wrong. There just wasn’t a ‘wow’ factor here for me that really made stop and go ‘Oh, my God, this book is amazing!’ That just didn’t happen for me. There wasn’t anything new in the storyline, nothing I haven’t read a number of times before. I liked the characters, but I just wasn’t completely invested in them or the story. For me, it also dragged a bit in the middle – there were times I was tempted to skip a bunch of pages, get to the end, and be done with it. However, I stuck with it and finished it.

Now, I’m curious though of my impression on some of her other books! I definitely feel the need to check out more by the author.

Bottom line though? It hits at a good solid B for me.
