Wade Royer and Elijah Sterling are on shaky ground. While initially reluctant Eli is finally ready to take things to the next level, Wade is hesitant. He senses trouble coming and he’s right. Still, they know their fiercely undeniable connection—both in and out of the bedroom—is worth saving.

Then a man from Eli’s past reappears and the CIA comes calling—and they both want Eli back. With their relationship in jeopardy of falling apart and Eli in danger of a different kind, both men will have to decide what they really want—and then take it…

Thoughts: Oh my freaking heck why have I never read a Helenkay Dimon book before? This book is so flipping good I seriously can’t contain how much I loved it. Like a freaking lot. Like I want to be the cream in a Wade and Eli sandwich.

Is that enough likes for you? Because it isn’t for me.

Because I haven’t read the two books that comes before this, I didn’t have a lot of the background on Wade and Eli and everything that had gone down with them, and that was okay because there is enough of what happened given in this book that you get the gist of how bad it was. And why Eli is struggling so much with his relationship Wade and where they are.

Both of them have a lot of insecurities based on events in their past, and are struggling to find their footing in a relationship they both want, but aren’t sure how to navigate. Wade wants more from Eli, and is resentful and angry when Eli continues to hold a part of himself back.

Eli on the other hand, desperately wants to believe in him and Wade, but because of what happened between him and Wade he can’t let himself let down his guard completely. When an ex comes back into his life, Eli realizes that he really does want what his friends have found with their partners with Wade.

My emotions were all over the  place in this book. I laughed. I swooned. And I cried. There’s a scene with Eli that my heart felt like it was breaking and I was crying the ugly kind of tears and I wondered if him and Wade would be able to get past their problems.

Now I’m going to go back and read the other books in this series because the secondary characters are off the charts amazing and I want to know them.

Oh I almost forgot all the smexy times…they are off the freaking charts hot. Like really really really hot. Set your e-reader on fire hot.
