Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh

Title: Tangle of Need

Series: Psy/Changeling bk 11

Author: Nalini Singh

Genre: Paranormal

Adria, wolf changeling and resilient soldier, has made a break with the past—one as unpredictable in love as it was in war. Now comes a new territory, and a devastating new complication: Riaz, a SnowDancer lieutenant already sworn to a desperate woman who belongs to another.

For Riaz, the primal attraction he feels for Adria is a staggering betrayal. For Adria, his dangerous lone-wolf appeal is beyond sexual. It consumes her. It terrifies her. It threatens to undermine everything she has built of her new life. But fighting their wild compulsion toward one another proves a losing battle.

Their coming together is an inferno…and a melding of two wounded souls who promise each other no commitment, no ties, no bonds. Only pleasure. Too late, they realize that they have more to lose than they ever imagined. Drawn into a cataclysmic Psy war that may alter the fate of the world itself, they must make a decision that might just break them both.

Nalini Singh is a master storyteller who gets better with each book she writes. In her much anticipated next installment of her beloved psy/changeling series, she once again delivers a fabulous story.

In the aftermath of the battle between Henry Scott’s Pure Psy and the changelings, Nikita and Anthony there is a lot going on in this book.

The main story is between Adria and Riaz and while I liked their romance even through there is no mating bond between them their romance is exactly what they need for who they are.

The sparks that fly between Riaz and Adria are hot enough to make your pages catch fire, even when they want to kill each other. I do have to say that their relationship wasn’t one I was expecting. When they finally got together it looked like it was going to be great until a wrench is thrown into their relationship by appearance of Riaz’s mate, his married mate. I have to say that I loved how Riaz convinced Adria that he didn’t care that they didn’t have the mating bond.

What kept me reading however is all of the other stuff that happens in the book. All of the Arrows, LOTS of Aden and Vasic (which makes me really happy) plus some other arrows that are game changer. Then there is all the Hawke and Sienna scenes which are hilarious.

Then there is the Kaleb and the mystery surrounding the person he is looking for. Oh and the Ghost.

Overall this is a really good book that I devoured in one sitting and want will be reading again soon. If you love Nalini Singh then you won’t want to miss this book as it sets up what is going to happen next in the series.
