The Space Between by Kate Canterbary

22613736Title:  The Space Between

Series:  The Walshes Book #2

Author:  Kate Caterbary

Genre:  Contemporary/Romance

Blurb:  Some lines are meant to be crossed.
Patrick…That hair. That fucking hair. It was everywhere, always, and I wanted to tangle my fingers in those dark curls and pull. And that would be fine if she wasn’t my apprentice.
Andy Asani was nothing like I expected. She was exotic and scary-brilliant, and the slightest murmur from those lips sent hot, hungry lust swirling through my veins. Outside my siblings, she was the only person I could name who shared my obsession with preserving Boston’s crumbling buildings.
Andy…My wants were few: good eats, tall boots, hot yoga, interesting work. One incredibly hot architect with the most expressive hazel eyes I ever encountered and entirely too much talent in and out of the bedroom wasn’t part of the original plan. Apparently he was part of the package.
Wine was my rabbi and vodka was my therapist, and I needed plenty of both to survive my apprenticeship. Especially with Patrick Walsh leaving love notes in the form of bite marks all over my body.

Thoughts:  This book is amazing!  And I’m going to say A-MAZ-ING one more time, because that is a complete about face for me when it comes to the books in this series.  I’ll be honest…I was less than impressed with book one of this series (which I rated with a C-….you can check out that review here: Underneath It All Review) So, I will admit, I was a bit hesitant to pick this one up….imagine my surprise when I could not put this one down!  The way this one was told caught my interest, and I was captivated…yes, captivated by this book.  I loved the draw Patrick felt towards Andy….even more so because it drove him so crazy trying to get a reaction out of her.  I simply loved it and couldn’t get enough out of their interactions.  Amazingly enough, books told in multiple points view are also not usually a favorite of mine, but it worked in this case and even added to the intricacies of the story.  It can also easily read it as a stand alone –  in fact, this is one of the very few times I would actually advise it.

I want more books with the draw of Patrick and Andy!  This book had me melting – I love that build up of tension between the characters…that intense want, desire, and need that just builds and builds until you think you can’t stand it anymore!  Loved it!  Can’t wait to see what the author has in store with book three!
