Series:  N/A

Author:  Alice Clayton

Genre:  Romance

BlurbCaroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a Kitchen Aid mixer to die for, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O. Adding insult to O-less, she also has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Every moan, spank, and—was that a meow?—punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has—yep, you guessed it—no O. Enter Simon Parker. When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has…well…mixed results. Because with walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick. A delicious mix of silly and steamy, this is an irresistible tale of exasperation at first sight.

Thoughts:  I received a copy of this book from the publishers Simon and Schuster in exchange for an honest review, and I can honestly say they sent me one of the best books I have read this year.  I devoured this title in less than a day, because I simply could not put it down!  This book is simply amazing!

The blurb captivated me instantly, and had me clamoring to get started on this book – but I must admit to a moment’s pause when I actually got the title – when I realized how thick it was.  Usually these types of titles are rather short.  Not that I mind a lengthier novel – not at all – but I was concerned that the author would simply be dragging out the pages.  How, with a book blurb like this one, did the author intend to keep us interested through the whole thing?  I was expecting a lot of lulls throughout!  But the story is told so well, that there are no lulls whatsoever – all the way till the end.  And surprisingly, I still wanted MORE!  You were so engaged with the story – as well as the characters – that you found yourself gasping with disbelief, laughing out loud, and simply sitting with a silly grin on your face as you read all the charming banter between the characters.  Especially between Caroline and Simon!  (Trust me, my family kept giving me strange looks and asking me what I kept grinning about!)

I loved, Loved, LOVED this book!  So much so, that I will be looking for more titles from this author – and purchasing them without even reading the blurb!  Don’t miss out on this title – it’s a keeper!
