Wild About Her Wingman by Robin Bielman

 Title: Wild About Her Wingman

Series:  Secret Wishes Book #3

Author:  Robin Bielman

GenreRomance

Blurb:  Playing it safe never felt so risky… Erin Watters is her small town’s resident wild child–she doesn’t do boring, and after having her heart annihilated, she definitely doesn’t do relationships. Her friends have other ideas, though, and when they throw down a matchmaking challenge, impulsive Erin can’t ignore it. Even when the annoyingly hot Troy Streiber accepts the matchmaker role… As a rescue paramedic, Troy’s used to watching out for people. Never mind the bet he made with his buddy to play Erin’s wingman. But the more time he spends with the sexy, charismatic woman, the more he discovers a side of her she doesn’t let many see. Soon what started as an innocent game of matchmaking has them both thinking about the person right under their nose. But Troy’s a play-it-safe guy, and he won’t let a woman who lives for risk ever steal his heart.

Favorite excerpt: He slapped her hand and snaked his other arm around her waist.  She fell against him, her hands landing on his chest.  “Just so we’re clear, Watters.  As quarterback I own your ass.  Got it?”

She sucked in her bottom lip and stared at his mouth before resuming eye contact.  “Win me this game and it’s yours whenever you want it.”

Thoughts: I’m a sucker for the friends-to-lovers troupe, and this one has the added complication of a bet in which Troy needs to find the perfect boyfriend for Erin.  For that reason it kind of started off a bit rough for me, with both of them refusing to see each other as someone they could be with and each fighting a hidden attraction to each other.  Both had an impression of the other that wasn’t entirely accurate which did not help things along.  Once you managed to stumble through that, the book really hit you with a sweet, romantic story about a couple falling in love with each other.  It’s exactly what you need in a feel-good romantic title!
