I thought that I had read all the books in this series and so when I saw that I needed to read on Ms. Denison’s for the reading challenge I checked to see if she had any new books on this series and sure enough she did, even if it is a couple of years old.

I loved Ben. He is former Marine (yummy) and now works with a bunch of his Marine buddies doing security. He comes with a lot of baggage, most of it from being in Iraq and some from his childhood. Because of all of his hangups he refuses to act on his feelings and attraction to Christy.

Christy however has no such qualms. After living under her mother’s thumb for her entire life she is determined to do what makes her happy, and go after what she wants, so when Ben is assigned to be bodyguard until the election she sees it as the perfect opportunity to go after Ben, and boy does she ever.

This is one of those books that you once you get into it you can’t put it down, for one you want to see what Christy is going to do next in her bid to get Ben, and for another to find out what is really going on and just who is threatening Christy. It took me a bit to get into it, but as I said in another review I think it had more to do with what was going on in my life at the time that I read it. But once I was able to just sit down and read it I couldn’t put it down.
