The Wild Irish Sea

The Wild Irish Sea
Lucinda McGary
Drawn together by a force they can’t resist…
The telepathic image of her twin brother fighting for his life sends Amber O’Neill rushing to the rocky shores of Ireland. Desperate to find him, she turns to reclusive local inspector Kevin Hennessey.
Bound together with a passion as relentless as the tide…
His past full of pain, Kevin has withdrawn from the world. But when the rain-drenched American appears on his doorstep with her wild tales of danger, something more than her sensuous beauty makes it impossible for him to turn her away.
The wildness of the sea, the mystery of a selkie prince, and a dangerous band of ruthless smugglers bring two lost souls together in a connection of mind, body, and spirit that can’t be denied.
This book was a first for me: first book I have read by author Loucinda McGary and also first ARC I have ever received – I am hooked and can’t wait to read more, but lets get back to the book.
The first time I saw this book I could not wait to get my hands on a copy. It takes place in Ireland, that alone makes me want to read it, yep I am one of those people who could sit and watch Leap Year or PS I Love You just for the Irish scenery. I was pleased when I actually got my chance to read it and discovered that Loucinda has a way of transporting you there, I could picture the location and the people and loved the authentic language that she uses throughout the book, I have had so much fun saying eejits while I am at my day job.
I also liked the relationship between Amber and her brother Parker, and cant wait for his book, it is so fascinating to watch twins and the connections they have with each other. Throw in the tortured hero who has given up on everything and the hope he finds when Amber shows up on his doorstep and you have an excellent romantic read.
If you have not had a chance yet I would suggest picking up one of Loucinda’s books and plan on getting little sleep.

My Rating 4 out of 5
