Immortals after Dark Series bk 10
Kresley Cole
This has been a favorite series of mine from the very first book. There is just something about taking all the magical creatures and folklore from all the regions of the world and putting them in one series, that makes you want to curl up and read to your hearts content.
A dangerous demon she can’t resist…
Malkom Slaine: tormented by his sordid past and racked by vampiric hungers, he’s pushed to the brink by the green-eyed beauty under his guard.
A maddening witch he aches to claim…
Carrow Graie: hiding her own sorrows, she lives only for the next party or prank. Until she meets a tortured warrior worth saving.
Trapped together in a savage prison…
For them to survive, Malkom must unleash both the demon and vampire inside him. When he becomes the nightmare his own people feared, will he lose the woman he craves body and soul?
Malkom is an amazing hero. He has had one of the worst lives ever and trusts no one. If you betray his trust once he never forgives you. Carrow has been kidnapped along with a lot of other immortals and has been told that if she doesn’t bring back Malkom alive to then something really bad is going to happen.
Of all the characters that Kresley has given us in this series so far, I think that these two may be on the top of my list of favorites. Neither one of them trust easily, and yet from the moment that they meet they are drawn to each other, it is as if they know that they are destined mates.
When Carrow has to make a choice I knew which what her choice would be because I know that I would most likely make that same decision if I were in her shoes. I think that most women would as well. Malcom however sees it as a betrayal, and when he is faced with the reason behind her decision and comes to realize on his own why she made that decision he still has a hard time forgiving her.
I am really excited to see where she is going with the story line that she started in this book with some of the other immortals as well.
If you love folklore and great hero’s and heroines than you cannot go wrong with this series. This book is another great installment in a well written and exciting series.
Grade: B+
