Meet the GALS

We’re a group of women who love to read romance books. Between all of us we read everything. We love nothing better than to curl up and read one of our favorite books and then to make others sit down and listen to us tell them why they need to read the books.

Heather ~

I don’t remember exactly what the very first romance books I read was but I know I was 13 and it was a Harlequin Romance, I can even still tell the entire plot of the very first two books that I read. I then devoured every single HQN that my little library had. When I was 14-15 I discovered Johanna Lindsey and her book Brave the Wild Winds, and that was that. From then on I read the bodice ripper romances with Fabian on most of the covers (not that I cared who was on the cover it was all about the story). I will read just about anything now, if you were to look at my bookshelves you would see a very eclectic mix of romance books. I read them all contemporary, historical, paranormal, urban fantasy.  Nora Roberts, Julie Garwood, Nalini Singh, Alyssa Day, Erin Kellison, Jessa Slade, Delilah Marvell, Lauren Dane, Stephanie Laurens, Melissa Schroeder, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Kerrylnn Sparks, and of course Johanna Lindsey are just a few of the many books on my bookshelf.

Sarah ~

I have been reading books for as long as I can remember.  In fact, I tend to read them so quickly that I am always searching for new authors to read!  I love anything with at least a touch of romance in it, but my favorite genre is paranormal – quickly followed by sci-fi/fantasy, erotica, and contemporary.  Some of my absolute favorite authors are Laurell K. Hamilton, Patricia Briggs, Christine Feehan, Nalini Singh, Laurann Dohner, and so many others that it would be hard to list them all!  No matter what else I have going on in my life, I always make time for reading!

The best birthday gift that I ever received was a Kindle – it was the catalyst to re-ignite my love of reading!  Several years and 3 Kindles later, I escape into a book as often as possible. I have cards from 2 different libraries around my home town and on a daily basis I get several emails linking me to free or discounted books… I have more on my TBR list than I will ever get to and I add more daily! I am grateful that I discovered and look forward to all the new authors that I continue to discover through the blog.  I love a good romance – contemporary, romantic suspense and erotic while throwing in a few historical, paranormal and dystopian – I prefer to read series and a HEA is a must. (that’s not too much to ask for, right?) Fave authors: Audrey Carlan, Emily Hemmer, Lauren Dane, Carly Phillips, Ella Frank, Lorelei James, Maya Banks, Kristen Ashley, Kylie Scott, Tillie Cole, J. Daniels, Jaci Burton, Julie Ann Walker, Elle Kennedy, Christina Lauren… (I know I’m leaving some out…)

Tammy ~

I picked up my daughter’s Nook in late 2013, and I was hooked on the e-reader device. I’d pretty much given up reading regular books, but this opened up a whole new world to me.  It wasn’t long after that I purchased my Kindle.  Call me crazy, but I can live without my cell phone.  My Kindle however, is my prized possession and where I go, it goes. My favorite genres are pretty much anything romance, but rock star, MC or sports themed romances top my list. To change things up a bit, I’ll hit some erotic, paranormal/shifter stories, new adult or even young adult books.   I really enjoy any of these when coupled with a little suspense and danger.  And . . . I don’t shy away from the dark stuff either. My auto-1-click authors are: Tillie Cole, Cambria Hebert, Audrey Carlan, Cassia Leo, Sasha Marshall, Emily Hemmer, J. Daniels, Penelope Ward, Molly McAdams, Lili St. Germain, Callie Hart, Karolyn James/Casey London, and Alyssa Rose Ivy.  Other favorites are:  T.K. Leigh, Tara Siveck, Tarryn Fisher, JA Huss, HM Ward, Kira Adams, Kira Johns, Casey Quinn, Marie James, D.H. Sidebottom, Jools Sinclair, Colleen Hoover, Barbara Speaks, Whitney Barbetti, Kendall Grey, C.D. Reiss, Pamela Ann, and Rachel Blaufeld. Remember, the best way we can support our writers, is to write a review!
