Randomness Friday

Yes you read the title of the post correctly. Why is it called Friday Randomness you ask? Because at 7pm on Thursday night after dealing with 150 k-5 fifth graders, a football game and a crapton of pain in my broken foot, I was too tired to write a review. So today’s post is a bunch of randomness that I’ve been thinking about, reading and watching lately.

#1 Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey

There has been a lot of chatter about this casting this week, and while I’ve read some posts about it I have to say that I’m not as bothered by it as some are. For one when he cleans up really well. And two while a lot of people didn’t like the books there are a lot people who do, me being one. I’m curious to see how well they pull off the movie. charlie hunnam

# 2 Christmas Books

A couple of weeks ago while I was looking on Netgalley I saw a bunch of Christmas books and I of course had to get a bunch of them, and have spent the last two weeks reading nothing by Christmas books, and I have to admit they’ve made me excited for the holiday’s this year. There are a lot of great holiday romance stories coming out. These are just a few of the ones I’ve read and loved. Sleigh Bells in the Snow by Sarah Morgan, Kissing Under the Mistletoe by Bella Andre, Christmas on Main Street by JoAnn Ross & Susan Donovan, Christmas on 4th Street by Susan Mallery, Take Me Home For Christmas by Brenda Novak, and Holiday Kisses by Jaci Burton and Shannon Stacey.

#3 TV Shows

I love Netflix. We don’t have regular tv so unless it’s on Netflix we don’t watch it. We rediscovered Flashpoint and had a marathon viewing session. We’ve also rediscovered Alias and are completely hooked all over again on this show. There are three very good reasons to watch these shows. On Flashpoint there’s Sergio de Zio and David Paetkua and Michael Vartan on Alias. david paetku

So the questions now are….what do you all think of Charlie as Christian Grey? What have you all been reading? And what show hotties have you discovered or re-discovered?

Sorry about that broken foot! Hope you feel better! And it sounds like you’ve been busy! I am looking forward to those Christmas books! I didn’t read 50 Shades, but I am sure Charlie will do it well. I just read a Novella by Laura Florand called Snow-Kisses, which I highly recommend. It is very emotional & heart-wrenching, but worth it!

1# haven’t decided on seeing the movies or not yet… loved the books and I am pretty loyal that way. movies are almost never as good… he’s a cutie though!
2# anything by Shannon Stacey and Susan Mallery – sign me up!! never had an affinity for Christmas books in particular but I could use something to get me in the spirit since its been so darn hot around here the last month or so!
3# Criminal Minds – Shemar Moore… nuff said! (Love Flashpoint too tho)

Ouch, sorry to hear about the broken foot! Hope you make a speedy recovery!

I’ve not issues with Charlie in 50 shades. I haven’t read the books so likely won’t catch the movie anyways.

Oh, it’s nice to see a Flashpoint fan! Loved loved loved that series. It made me so sad they ended it. I kinda wish they’d revive it. Sergio and David were awesome it in. And Michael was just extreme eye candy in Alias! The series finale of Flashpoint was just replayed last night and it just killed me again.
