Today is a day that will forever be embedded in the memory of every American. It is the day where we discovered that we can be attacked on our soil. It was the first time since Pearl Harbor in 1942 this had happened. There is so much we could say about that day, but I think a simple I will not forget is enough.
We will never forget those who died that day, the innocent victims in the towers, in the planes, and at the Pentagon. The men and women who ran into the falling buildings to rescue those who were trapped, the passengers on the planes who fought back. And those who lost their husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers.
