He was born to ascend.
He was destined to lead.
He was never meant to fail.
Prophet Cain lies broken and defeated on the floor of his cell. A cell he has been thrown into by the one person who was supposed to stand by his side until the end. His flesh and blood, his only companion. His beloved twin brother.
Cain has sacrificed everything for his people. He left the safety and security of his life of study to infiltrate the infamous Hades Hangmen. He lived with them, rode with them, and then betrayed them. All in the name of a faith he can now feel slipping away from him. Like everything else he once held dear…
But then his isolation is broken. Another prisoner is brought to the cell next to his. A woman fighting her own demons and fears. A woman who Cain understands needs him, as he needs her.
As the connection between them grows, so does Cain’s resolve. He will right the wrongs he has done. He will atone for the evil acts carried out in his name. He will save the one he loves…
… Even if the battle takes him to the gates of hell itself.

Tammy’s Thoughts:
“It Ain’t Me Babe” was my first ever Tillie Cole book and ‘wow’ was it ever dark and depraved.
My review from Dec. 2014: I’ve NEVER read a more fast paced, action packed, emotionally charged book EVER. It flowed perfectly! This is the first book of Tillie Cole’s I’ve read and will put her in my top 5 authors and this may even knock off my favorite Black Box, by Cassia Leo, for my #1 favorite book ever. It’s just that darn fantastic. Be sure to read the author’s notes at the beginning of the book, because her research included talks with actual female cult survivors. The reality of that, plus the love story between a Cursed Snow White of a beauty and a mute MC prez in this book makes it sad, yet totally kick ass. You’ll get a totally satisfying HEA with somewhat of a cliffhanger. I am anxious to read the 2nd in the series.
Having since read everything she’s published to date in the Hades Hangmen series, plus her Sweet Home series, I can say she is unequivocally my #1, VERY FAVORITE AUTHOR!! Everything she writes is pure literary gold! I’m happy to say that Deep Redemption shares the same metal glory as the other editions in the series.
The Hades Hangmen series is unlike anything I’ve read before and I’ve read a fair amount of dark romance. Nothing has given me the nausea, trepidation and feeling of being trapped and powerless like this series. Tillie Cole totally sucks you into this wicked world of sinners, cursed women, and tatted steel warriors. With each new series’ release, I found myself anxious to get my hands on it, yet anxious also in the sense that I knew some really bad sh!t was going to happen. In fact, I was recommending this series to an author friend recently and likened reading this series to that scene in Poltergeist where they tied a rope around the Mom before she entered the vortex to save her daughter. You need that safety rope as an anchor to pull you back out of that dark world when the time comes.
Those unlucky enough to be trapped on the wrong side of the fence around New Zion are the main characters of this book, Prophet Cain, a.k.a. Rider, and Harmony. They find themselves confined by Judah in crumbling stone-walled cells next to each other. Cain is savagely beaten daily, refusing to repent to his brother. Harmony faces even worse prospects. “My name means nothing. I am devil-created, perfectly designed to make men sin. I am sin personified. I am the magnet to the evil that hides deep inside . . . “ I am the devil’s greatest tool . . . I am a Cursed woman of Eve. The very worst creation on earth.”
And just when all seemed quiet on the Texas front, evil twin Judah, masquerading as Prophet Cain, is raising an army, breaking bread with skin-heads and carrying on in the sick and twisted ways where his dearly departed Uncle, Prophet David, left off.
Yeah, Armageddon is coming all right! The Devil’s riding a Harley, wearing a leather cut and the patch of Hade’s Hangmen! Save yourselves!
Excerpt:
I returned to the wall. I lay down on my front and crawled to where I would see Harmony again. As soon as our eyes met, her hand pushed through the gap. My fingers wrapped around hers. I closed my eyes and let the solace of her touch calm the rage inside, just for a moment.
We lay in silence, but my head raced. What could I do? How could I stop this? I was still thinking hard when Harmony said, “Rider?”
“Yes?” I replied, opening my eyes.
She squeezed my hand tighter. “It may make me an eternal sinner, but one thought keeps occupying my mind. I keep praying for something that is savage and cruel . . . but I cannot stop.”
“What is it?” I asked in a rough voice.
Harmony took a deep breath. “I pray for death.” My muscles tensed. She wished to die? “For the prophet,” she quickly added, and I stilled. “I pray for Prophet Cain to die. I pray for our freedom, from his enforced hurt and pain. And I think that could only happen if our leader died. If his cruel heart was no longer beating.”
I didn’t say anything in response. I didn’t say anything, because I fought with a greater internal war. A personal sin.
Because I was starting to pray for that too.
I was praying that Judah would be taken down.
I had started to pray that my own brother would die . . .
. . . and if those thoughts could only come from a sinner’s heart, then a sinner I was.
