THOUGHTS:
Even though this book has less of The Silo in it than the previous 2 books (and we all know from my previous reviews that I am a fan of all things Sawyer Bennett), I have to say that this is my fave in the series so far!
Rand has a self professed “white knight complex” but you can tell right from the start that what he’s feeling for Cat is so much more than that! Cat is a little lost after the death of a man she married only because of his promises of financial security and finds out that she may not be so secure after all… This is the story of how these 2 find each other and give one another a happiness that Rand didn’t know he was missing and that Cat never dreamed she could have!
We also got to see plenty of our previous couples and a glimpse of what Sawyer has in play for the next book. And OMG! The scene where Callie and Sloane take Cat to lunch was so freaking funny!! I had tears from laughing so hard!
Favorite passage at 48%: “That look… right there. I want her to have that on her face all the time. Regardless of where this creature lands in life, be it here or back in Jackson, I want this woman to walk through the rest of her days with that look on her face.”
