Title: Fall With Me
Series: Wait For You bk 4
Author: J. Lynn/ Jennifer Armentrout
Genre: New Adult, Contemporary
Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.
Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.
But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.
Thoughts: I have serious mad love for this series. Like serious mad love. I’d hazard a guess that it’s one of my top New Adult series out there.
I love heroes who own who they are and Reece completely owns who he is. He’s a cop, who’s seen some rough stuff and has been in serious like for the one girl he’s had to wait to grow up, Roxy.
Roxy has always liked Reece, but when she finally makes her move things don’t go as planned and hurt feelings happen. On top of Reece rejecting her, she’s dealing with the consequences of one bad decision when she was sixteen that left her best friend in a vegetative state. To say that Roxy has a lot of things going on with her emotionally is an understatement.
Reece knows this and understands it…he also is tired of the walls that Roxy has thrown between them and is going to take a battering ram to them…at least this is the way it feels to Roxy (because we only get her pov) and I have to tell you I like how he did it. Reece hasn’t got a problem telling Roxy how things are going to be and using everything he’s got in him to make it happen.
This is one of those books that you just need to read. Of all the NA books I’ve read so far this year (and they have all been excellent) this one is in my top 3 its that good.
Did I mention that Reece is a dirty talker. Like a filthy mouthed dirty talker. I’m pretty sure the F word is his favorite word and the way he used it…oh my.
Like I was telling you, just go get this book and then come tell me how right I was about it being freaking awesome.
Grade A+
I’m so excited about this book! I love this series.. thanks for your review 🙂
