Series: Chaos bk 2
Author: Kristen Ashley
Genre: Contemporary
Lanie Heron isn’t looking for love—no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club…
For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She’s too polished and too classy for his tastes. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can’t say no. And he doesn’t regret it when he finds that Lanie is the best thing that’s ever happened to him—in or out of bed. Now the trick will be to convince her of that.
When I started reading Kristen Ashley I wasn’t sure if I was going to like her or not. But one of my reader friends told me I needed to read her so I gave her a try. I’ve now read books in each of her series and I have to say of all her heroes I prefer her rough, bad mouthed heroes. Slim, will always be my favorite of hers. And while I liked Shy, he was no Slim.
But Hop, oh man this is a man who as been honed in fire. A fire that he came out the other side of and is better and stronger for it. When he decides to go after Lanie after she disappears on him he goes all out. One of the things I loved about him is he is secure in who he is an what he wants. He thinks Lanie is worth all the drama, and in fact finds it funny.
Having not read Tack and Tara’s story I’m pretty sure I missed out on what happened with Lanie and her previous fiance. That being said there was enough back story in this that I understood how it messed up Lanie and why she was the way she was.
One of the things I like about KA’s story telling the makes no apologies for her men. They are who they are.
The relationship between Lanie and Hop is intense. They talk, they have HAWT sex, they fight, but most of all Hop has Lanie’s back no matter.
If you’re a fan of KA and love her MC books you won’t want to miss this one. It may be my favorite book next to Slim’s book.
