Riptide by Cherry Adair

Title: Riptide

Series: Cutter Cay bk 2

Author: Cherry Adair

Genre: Contemporary

Princess Bria Visconti demands the return of the money her brother rashly invested in Cutter Salvage. Treasure hunter Nick Cutter is too reckless, too arrogant—and far too handsome—for his own good. But he can’t charm his way out of this one. Bria plans to make Nick pay up even if she has to board his boat, don a wet suit, and dive for the treasure herself…  Nick sees Bria as a beautiful but spoiled princess who’s never done a day’s work in her pampered life. But once they set sail for the dive site, and the legendary fortune in gold the wreck carries, Nick begins to see Bria in a new light. This princess may be out of her depth, but she’s ready to take on the hidden danger and excitement a treasure hunt stirs to the surface. Together they must fight unexpected enemies—and reveal their darkest secrets—before they’re pulled into a rip current of danger.

Cherry is one of my all time favorite special ops authors. I have read every single of her books and have all of them. I’ve had this book for a couple of weeks now and was going to read it next, however after a twitter conversation with Jessa Slade I decided to ignore my to do list and read it, and I have to say that I’m glad that I did. When I was over on Cherry’s site I read this about Nick..

Nick Cutter’s smile was white and self-satisfied. His blue eyes glittered with satisfaction.  Nick slouched in his chair, twisting a pen between long, elegant fingers as he listened. He wore jeans and a wrinkled red T-shirt. His bare feet were crossed at the ankles and propped on the chair beside him. His dark hair hung well below his shoulders, and his handsome features were all but indistinguishable due to his thick black beard. The middle Cutter looked like a blue-eyed caveman.

Does this just not make you want to read more about him?

When you have a hero like Nick, he can take over the pages and I have to say that he very much took over the pages and book for me. I could have cared less about Bria, however she did make Nick a better man.

Both Nick and Bria have an agenda that they are working, but neither one of them can deny the intense attraction that they have to each other, and Nick being Nick isn’t about to deny himself. What he never expected was to have any feelings for her. Between the threats to her, the drama of what is going on with a mysterious new brother, and his favor to T-Flac he has had about enough, but he can’t deny the adrenaline rush he gets.

Okay I’m just going to come out and say this YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!!

That’s all I’m going to say. There was nothing about this book that I didn’t like and I <3 the Cutter brothers and can’t wait to see what happens in the next book now that the mysterious brother has been revealed.
