So as most of you know Heather & I went to RomCon last July, it was our first convention and what a way to get our feet wet! We had tons of fun, met loads of authors and came home with more books than we could ever make a dent in.
For those who are not familiar with RomCon it is a readers romance convention that celebrates the romance genre and the wonderful readers who can’t get enough of it. You have 3 fun filled days meeting fellow readers and the authors who write the books we love. The 2nd annual convention will be held August 5-7 in Denver (we already have our reservations and are sooooo excited!)
One of the things that got us interested was the Readers Crown Award, you as the reader can sign up to be a judge. You will be sent up to 5 books to read and give your opinion on and the winners are announced at the convention. That is where we were won over, free books, come on admit it who does not like free books!
The second fun thing that we were so excited about was our Reading Challenge, our goal was to read at least one book from each author attending the convention – we came pretty close to getting it done also. Well we are at it again, we have till August so we are both getting ready to start reading like crazy!
