Skin Tight
Susan Anderson
Bright lights. Big lies. And two people taking the biggest gamble of their lives.
Treena McCall is a showgirl just trying to hang onto her job. Jax Gallagher is a professional gambler with a private agenda. He’s not the man she thinks he is. She’s not the woman he expected. Can the deception that brought them together ever be replaced by trust?
Being a semi native of Las Vegas I was excited to read this story to see how much of Vegas was right and how much was wrong. I have to say that fairly early into the story I didn’t even care about that part, well except for the references to the Vegas heat, those made me laugh considereing that Vegas has had the hottest summer on record since 1937 and trust me you did not want to be here in July.
Never having read a Susan Anderson book before I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised.
Treena is a showgirl that has a had rough couple of years and really needs to focus on her dancing, and not the hot pro poker player Jax that has suddenly swept into her life.
Jax has a problem and Treena is the solution to that problem and he will do whatever he needs to do to get the solution from her. What he never expected was to like her and fall for her.
I really enjoyed this story, and before I knew it I had finished it and closing the laptop. Between Treena and Jax their story which is really good, there was Carly Treena’s best friend and Ellen and Mack the older people that live on either side of her and their story.
This is one of those books that will keep you engaged from start to end.
I give this a 4 out 5
