I love summer for lots of reasons these are just a few.
1. No Alarm Clocks…oh wait never mind oldest has football practice at 7 am all summer long
2. No schedules to keep
3. I can read all day if I want to…the joys of teenagers they can fend for themselves π
4. The crazy amount of awesome summer reads that come out.
This summer is no exception. I’ve been blown away by the sheer number of amazing books I’ve been able to read this summer. Some of them I went into with a meh attitude and others I’ve dropped everything to read. Not all of these books are out now, but they will be coming out over the summer. I’m linking them all to their GR page. Also not all of these are what you would consider romance in the usual sense but there is a love story in them.
Nantucket Sisters by Nancy Thayer is one of those meh stories that I fell in love with. It almost has a Beaches theme, but with a HEA for both of the friends. After reading this book I was ready to pack up my family and move there π
Hotelles by Emma Mars was one that I was curious to read because it takes place in France and you can tell was written by someone very familiar with the French culture and the parts of France in which the story took place. I wasn’t sure how the story was going to end, and while the ending did surprise me, it was a good surprise.
Virgin by Radhika Sanghani I’m only a couple of pages into this book but I have to tell you I’m loving it to so much.
The Best Kind of Trouble by Lauren Dane is the first book in the Hurley Brothers series a spin off from the Delicious and Brown Siblings series. I’m half way through this book and oh my holy heck this book is amazeballs (you will need some cold water and a fan)
Straddling the Line by Jaci Burton is honestly one of those books that I have no words for other than you need to read this book.
Then Came You by Jill Shalvis, all I have to say about this book is this. JILL SHALVIS. ANIMALS. HOT GUYS.
When We Met by Susan Mallery is the story of Angel who we met in the Bodyguard trilogy of Fool’s Gold. This story will break your heart and make you want give Angel a hug.
Flying by Megan Hart. Really what more needs to be said after that?
Empire Girls by Suzanne Hayes and Loretta Nyhan is a good I’ve had on my radar for a while and I can’t wait to be able to read this one. It’s the story of 2 sisters in the 1920’s who’s lives are rocked when their father dies and family secrets are revealed sending them on a journey that will test themselves and their relationship.
Taken With You by Shannon Stacey is another great installment in the Kowalski series. This is the story of Haley and a forest ranger who is very opposite from Haley and I loved every single word.
So here’s a really cool thing that HQN is doing for all there great summer reads (don’t you just love the banner they made for it?) they are giving away an amazing beach bag and books, some of whom are on my summer reads list.
