Blue Balls by RC Boldt

Title: Blue Balls

Author: RC Boldt

The author of CLAM JAM brings us yet another laugh-out-loud romantic comedy about two people who experience “setbacks” at the most inopportune times…

What happens when the universe gets in the way of your “follow through”?

BLUE BALLS

Truth: A painful condition caused by a prolonged state of sexual arousal without release.
Myth: Only affects males.

SARAH
I’m beyond frustrated with the man who’s left me high and very far from dry. Multiple times. But, somehow, even though I’m not interested in a relationship, Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Handsome keeps me coming back for more—one crazy, sexual debacle after the next.

Come hell or high water, the stars will align, and the release will be out of this world.

JACK
I’m captivated with the woman who’s left me sixty-nine shades of blue, and she’s only in this for one thing. The first time, I blew it—and not in the good way—but I’m going to ensure we finally see it through. I need to put an end to this “plague” of sexual calamities and prove to Sarah that we can have more.

It’s time to grab the universe by the balls and show it who’s boss.

THOUGHTS:

RC Boldt slays romcom! She has found that magic formula of funny and relatable without it being over the top ridiculous. She did it with the first book Clam Jam, and she did it again with Blue Balls. This was the best follow up for secondary characters EVER! Of course you don’t have to read Clam Jam first but I would highly recommend it because like I said RC Bolt slays romcom – Clam Jam is super funny, and you’ll get the start of Sarah and Jack’s story.

If you read Clam Jam, then you will remember Sarah and Jack and you will remember they had chemistry right off the bat, but they just can’t get it together.

Sarah and Jack are the maid of honor and best man in Maggie and Ry’s wedding, and end up spending lots of time together planning etc. They finally decide that they can’t ignore the attraction between them, but every time it’s about to get steamy, they are interrupted and left with a serious case of blue balls. I loved this book. Sarah and Jack are perfect for each other. Sarah is strong, funny, feisty, and gives Jack a run for his money. Jack is so damn swoony! He is strong, honest, sexy as hell, and a little awkward at times (his true nerd shining through). They have a lot of obstacles in their way and they suffer a lot in the name of love 😉 but in the midst of that suffering their love story unfolds and it’s perfect. This book had me laughing out loud, swooning hard-core and left me smiling so big.

I’ve had Clam Jam in my TBR list for a while because I loved the blurb. I’ve never had a chance to read RC Boldt before but now I”m really looking forward to reading both Clam Jam and Blue Balls!
