Ignited by J. Kenner

ignitedTitle: Ignited

Series: Most Wanted bk 3

Author: J. Kenner

Genre: Erotic, Contemporary

He promised to take me as far as I could go—and I wanted to go to the edge.

My whole life has been a cover, a con, a lie. I was born into the grift, raised on the thrill of playing someone I’m not. As a rule, I never let anyone get too close—until Cole August makes it impossible for me to stay away.

Cole is tough, sexy, and intensely loyal, yet his secrets are dark and his scars run deep. Not many women can handle his past, or the truth behind his fierce demands. But something about him beckons me—and our desire is a game I must play.

I know he’s dangerous, that even his touch is trouble, but what is passion without a little risk?

Ignited is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Thoughts: From the very first book in this series I knew Cole was going to be my favorite. I had no idea who his heroine was and I didn’t care. There was just something about him that pulled at me. Made me want his story so much.

As soon as I got the book on my kindle I did nothing but lay in bed and read. It was soooo worth it to be behind on everything to read this book because I was right. There was something very special about Cole and a reason that I was drawn to him. The reason was his past. Someone very close to me, someone I love with all a mother’s heart has the exact, and I mean the exact same start to life that Cole had.

As I was reading his story I almost stopped reading and emailed Julie to thank her for writing a character like him. A character that has severe issues with impulse control and anger due to circumstances beyond his control and the action of someone who was supposed to be protecting him.

I didn’t need to have his story told in his POV because his anguish, torment and guilt screamed from his soul and Kat got it. She GOT IT!!

If I hadn’t already had a girl crush on her I would at that point.

I loved getting to know Kat, Angie’s best friend. She was everything I’d come to expect from her based on what I’d seen in the other books in this series and then some. As soon as she realizes that Cole feels for her what she feels for him she pushes at him until he sees past the wall he’s built around himself in regards to her. She fought for them, for him.

And that is what I loved about this book.

Of the three books in this series this one is my favorite.

Once again Kenner has written a book that reaches into your soul, pulls out all your emotions and leaves you with a smile.

Grade A+

I’ve read Julie before and I like her writings. They seam to be almost a bit soft 🙂 I’m looking forward to be reading this one too.
